Bon Appetit! Historic House Party
September 21 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm| $25
The Marblehead Museum invites you to an historic house party at 65 Washington Street on Thursday, September 21 from 6 to 8 pm. Tickets are $25 for members of the Marblehead Museum, $30 for nonmembers. The event will benefit the Marblehead Museum’s three properties, the Jeremiah Lee Mansion, the Museum Exhibits and J.O.J. Frost Gallery and the Civil War & G.A.R. Museum.
Guests will have the opportunity to tour the Captain Samuel Trevett house, built in 1717, and learn about the Trevett family of Marblehead. On display will be portraits, owned by the Marblehead Museum, of Russell Trevett, and his son Captain Samuel Trevett, who led the Marblehead artillery company at the battle of Bunker Hill.
Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served, and guests will be free to explore the fireplaced rooms, grand staircase and lovely gardens. The three hundred year old house has been restored with care, making it structurally sound, yet retaining its historic charm.
This is a unique opportunity to explore a wonderful historic house and support the Marblehead Museum. Don’t miss this special evening.
