The Marblehead Museum is sponsoring a walking Kitchen Tour on Saturday, June 3rd, 10AM to 4PM. Located in historic downtown areas, the tour’s nine kitchens present a range of sizes and a variety of architectural designs and advanced examples of appliances, counter materials, backsplashes, flooring and lighting.  Kitchen Owners’ tastes in colors add to each kitchen’s individuality.  These and other fresh approaches are intended to inspire tour goers who contemplate their own changes. Three tour houses were built in 1714 and 1715, four others in the 1700s prior to or during the Revolutionary War and two were built in the 1800s.

Highlights include:
*a heat-storage AGA stove, popular in European country houses and designed in the late 1920s by a blind Swedish physicist.
*an induction stove top, plus hand-painted tiles depicting iconic Marblehead buildings.
*Marmoleum flooring manufactured with natural materials.
Admission includes:
*a 48-page tour book with a description of each kitchen’s renovation plus designers/architects and sources of appliances, counters, flooring, lighting and other kitchen elements.  The tour book is a valuable guide for anyone contemplating a kitchen upgrade.

To purchase tickets, click here or call 781-631-1768. Tickets may also be purchased at the Marblehead Museum, 170 Washington St.
